100 word challenge week #19

                         All You Need Is Friends

“Light the candles.” My mom said quickly.
“Okay!” I replied sarcastically.

As we finished lighting all the candles, it was later in the day but we decided to take advantage of it and invited some friends over to enjoy the power outage with us and play board games. The night went on and on, filled with laughter and big personalities. As the night was about to end and as the flame flickered and then went out we learned that you don’t need electronics to have a fun night you just need amazing friends and awesome conversations.

100 word challenge week #18

Never Regret The Things You Do In Life

Do you ever have a moment when your doing something but you really wanna be curled up in your orange cat pyjamas… this was my moment. I was standing on the top of the high dive at the pool, everybody was looking at me. Silence filled the room as thoughts swam through my head. “Should I jump or should I back down?” I take a deep breath and jump, I hit the water like thunder hits a crisp summer's eve. That's the day I learned that you should never let fear run your life because in the end it's not the things you do,you regret it's the things you don’t.

100 word challenge week #17

Stairway to Heaven

“Is this it?’’ I questioned “Just a stairway to a bright light, how boring.”
“Well I’m sorry what were you expecting? Did you want a rope to climb, a backwards slide. You know for a dead person you sure are ungrateful”
My guardian angel said sarcastically.
“Okay I’ll stop, but seriously how do we get up there because I don’t feel like doing cardio today.” I joked.
“Please just wait” My guardian angel asked impatiently.
As things quieted a hand reached out and pulled me up the stairs. Once I came to the beautiful golden gates that's when I woke up.

100 word challenge week #16

                            The Power Outage

It was a dark and stormy night my friend Talia and I were home alone watching scary movies. We were halfway through our second movie when the phone rang. It was my mom. She told us that there might be a power outage. Instantly, after she called, we stocked up on candles, flashlights and, because we had just finished our second horror movie, a kitchen knife and a baseball bat. Suddenly, after gathering our supplies, the power went out. By the time my mom got home, it was early morning and she found us in the corner holding a baseball bat and giant flashlight. The moral of the story is never watch a horror movie on a dark and stormy night.

100 word challenge week 15

Beach Disaster!!

My friend Frankie has always had a child like curiosity, but what happened that day was pure stupidity.  It was a beautiful day at the beach, we were all swimming and having fun. The real chaos and embarrassment all started when my friend Frankie decided to go off on her own, time passed and we decided to go look for her. After 15 minutes we found her sitting on the ground with her hand stuck in the bottle return bin. Lets just say the lifeguard was not happy to hear a girl had her hand stuck in the return bin. That was the last time we went to that beach.

100 word challenge week 14

Kittens!!!

Last summer my dog had to get his shots, so we dropped him off at the vet and got something to eat. When we came back we saw a man quickly drop a box at the door and run to his car. Before we could ask what was in the box he was gone. My dad and I carefully took the box inside to see the vet, but she was busy. So I stepped up and I put my hand in the box and felt something furry. It was tiny kittens! And that's the story of when I put my hand in a box filled with flea infested kittens.

100 word challenge week #13

One Halloween me and my friends decided to dress up as women from history. I decided I was going to dress like daisy from the great gatspy, my friend Spencer decided to dress like a 80's go go dancer and my friend Hayden would be Marilyn Monroe. As the days past and came closer and closer to Halloween we started to become restless. Luckily we made sure to keep busy by picking out our costumes and totally forgetting practice our makeup skills. So when the day came my friends begged me (I begged them) to do their makeup. Everything was going great until I had to draw that perfect mole. I started with a small dot a but the spot just grew and grew until Hayden look as if someone shoved a mud pie in her face. Let's just say that was the last time I was "asked" to do my friends makeup.

100 word challenge week 10

How I to become a statue

"What have you done". I yelped as I hung over a vat of molten copper.
"You and your friends stole from me Joseph you must be punished". Mr. Benit shouted with anger.
"I guess the disguises weren't that good of an idea after all". My friend Danny said with humour as he hung next to me and my other friend Thomas.
"Well who would of thought I was a poor man, my hair is amazing you can't get this volume on the streets". Thomas exclaimed.
"Oh will you three be quiet I'm trying to kill you". Mr. Benit cried in a girly tone. They were so busy talking they didn't even notice Mr. Benit pull the lever to drop them. That was their last memory before they ended up a statue of three men talking.

100 word challenge week #9

                                 Super-Granny

When you're a retired superhero it gets harder and harder to find a place where you are excepted, for some reason when a 60 year old woman who says she can fly,  people label you as "crazy". One lonely day while the others were off playing shuffle board I thought where can I go where crazy is normal and a superhero can fit in, Las Vegas! The first month there was tough but the fifth month I met a fellow superhero. He's Robin's cousin Bluejay, we got married a week later. Our marriage lasted a month before a "freak accident" happened with Catman. Lets just say making a bird a cat's sidekick not a good idea.

A Serious Case Of The Broccoli's

“What have you done?” my cousin screeched.
“what are you talking about?” I said with a smirk.
“Come on, you must have put some chemical gas in the swimming pool to turn me green?” she inquired sounding annoyed.
“Stop being so emotional!" I said smiling it's likely to come out in a few days.”
“A few days, emotional, I'm a dancer I can't go on stage looking like broccoli!” she uttered dramatically.
“If it makes you feel better you'll be the cutest broccoli out there.” I spoke in a sweet tone.
“Okay.” she said in a mischievous way
“But remember I can get you back anywhere and anytime so watch out”. Now whenever she comes over I'm terrified.

100 word challenge week 7

                         My Horror Movie Experience

As I got older my misgeveus started to fade and a whole new genre of worry grew and that's how this story happened. It was a cold summers night my mom and dad were both working and my brother was at his friends house so I was home alone. Now usually I'm not afraid to be home alone but that night I just felt like something bad was going to happen so I was a little scared, but under all that fear I decided to watch a horror movie about a murder. Not a good movie choice on my part. Half way through the movie I heard the electric lock trying to open and it kept not working so I sat there for a minute until I decided to get up to see who was out there, but before I could the door opened and there it was my very angry mom yelling at me for not opening the door. Let's just say that was the last time I decided to stay home alone for awhile.

100 word challenge week 6

                                       My Masterpiece

When I was young I was a very mischievous child, I ate lipstick, I poured glitter in my hair, I even shared pudding with the dog. That was all very fun but one day I decided that just wasn't enough, I just had to make our walls "beautiful". That was the perfect day to do it it was just me and my dad, he was busy and I made sure to work silently. I grabbed the Vaseline and smeared on the walls then "lightly" dusted my dog and our Vaseline covered walls with a huge bottle of baby powder. By the time my mom came home she was shocked to see my masterpiece and our dog covered in baby powder terrified for life. Let's just say that was the last time I was left alone with my dad.

100 wc week 5

                                           The Fire

It was a beautiful summers day. I had just gotten back from grocery shopping with my baby boy Thomas. Throughout the day Thomas was being fussy, so I put him down for his nap a little early. I was so tired from running around that I decided to watch tv but once I hit the couch I was out like a light. I woke up to the smell of smoke, I looked around and saw the door was engulfed in flames. I grabbed Thomas and ran to the balcony to wait for the fire fighters to take Thomas than me. The smoke started to creep out to the balcony, and in that moment everything went black. I woke up to the sound of beeping in a hospital bed, and the image of my beautiful baby boy laying down next to me.

100 word challenge week #4

                                  The Camping Disaster

It was a beautiful summers day, I was camping with my friends. Everything was going perfect, we went for a hike and then swimming in the magnificent crystal lake. We were all having so much fun! Later that day things didn't end up as planned. We never meant for it to happen but random people showed up to cause havoc. They trashed our tents and threw a whole bag of marshmallow in the fire, it made our blood curdle. Right before I got up to confront them I heard a loud beeping noise.  I turned out it was my alarm clock. I never did get to finish my dream.

100 word challenge week #3

                                      A Painters Mistake

Everytime I try to paint it always ends in a mistake, a mess of reds and blues trying to masquerade themselves into something beautiful. I work really hard on my artwork, so I thought instead of messing around and trying to find a masterpiece in a eyesore , I decided I would paint a mountain. I thought it was going very well because it felt like the brush floated out of my hand and was doing all the work, but alas, it didn't end up that way. By time I was done it looked like a big umbrella. That was the last time I decided to paint ever again.

100 word challenge week #2

The Best Roller Coaster Ever

I usually hate roller coasters but when I saw this ride I couldn't resist, I just had to go. The next day me and my friend arrived at Play-land and got ready to search for the ride. But as we looked up a big, bright sign told us exactly where to go. We finally found it and as I joined the queue  I looked ahead and saw along line of people exactly like me getting ready for the ride. Eventually we got to the front, we buckled up and BAM the ride beamed off. It's still my favourite ride.

                       Journey to the Marshmallow Island

I've searched my whole life to find the Marshmallow Island. I've swam through jello lakes, I've  fought off slithering snake sucker, I've even ate just sour gummy worms to survive. I know it sounds like I've had it rough but you haven't heard what happened to my buddy Greyson he was chewed up and spit out by a gummy bear, they may look sweet but boy can they bite. Yeah I know we had it though but it was all worth it when we found they island, and how amazing the feeling was to take the first bite.
